Illumuniated swtich (Boaters World). This is a double-throw/center -off switch. The bottom side will turn the hitch lights on without a key and without being in reverse. The top side will tie the hitch lights into the vehicle backup lights circuit, and then will come on when the vehicle is in reverse. This side is tied into a relay (Auto Zone) to prevent overloading the original circuit. The switch illuminates anytime the hitch lights are on. To accomplish this, it was necessary to open the switch and rewire the pilot lamps. The switch is designed as center-hot, but is being used as center-load, fed by either a hot from the relay or a hot from the fuse box. One of the pilot lights of the DT switch is disconnected entirely and the other was tied to the center terminal.
